We are a community following Jesus in Houston

Jesus has made life with God possible.  We receive the gift of this life when we believe in him and begin to follow him. Life in Jesus is about more than affirming certain truths or trying hard to be a better person, it is reorienting your entire life around him. As a people in Christ, we want to live with God for the glory of God!

At Church of the Apostles, our simple goals are to be with Jesus, become like Jesus and do what Jesus did.

Rector Search

Apostles Houston is searching for its third rector to lead the parish into the second decade of the life of the church. Apostles is a Christ-centered church with a vision to be a community that wants to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.

As we look for the person who will lead us into the next season of our parish’s life, we’ve taken time to pray and reflect upon our identity, history, and values. At the link below you’ll find our Parish Profile, which gives a snapshot of our story, along with what we’re looking for in a Rector.

Please join us in praying for our search process

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on The Church of the Apostles, and so guide the minds of our search committee and Leadership Council as they prayerfully discern who our next rector will be, that we may receive a faithful pastor who will preach the Gospel, care for your people, equip us for ministry, and lead us forth in fulfillment of the Great Commission, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

This class will also prepare those interested in making a mature public affirmation of their faith by being Confirmed, Received or to Reaffirm their faith when the Bishop will be with us on Sunday May 5th.

If you are interested in attending this special class please RSVP below. Childcare will be provided.

VBS Volunteers // July 22-25

We are beyond excited to announce the return of Apostles VBS! After a 4 year hiatus, we are thrilled to get to host many precious kids this summer to teach them about the Love of Jesus and the incredible good news of the Gospel found in the Bible!

BUT to make this happen we need volunteers! We are looking for youth volunteers (ages 10-18) as well as adult volunteers to make VBS as powerful and energized and fun as possible. If you are interested in serving please use the link below and feel free to pass along it, or the QR code in the graphic above to anyone you feel might be interested. They do not have to be members at Apostles.

Think about all those high school and college kids you know will be looking for ways to fill their summer. This is an incredible opportunity for them to experience the gift of serving others.
